StewComic is a Qt-based digital comic viewer.
Well. There are great free (and opensource) comic viewers around, but I can see that most of them have issues with user interface or user experience. Stewcomic is designed to be the ultimate experience with digital comic reading.
- CBZ / CBR files
- Double page display
- Manga reading (backwards)
- Frame-by-frame view
- Comic Library
- Webcomic feed subscription
Very, very, very early stage of development. It can open CBR/CBZ files and simply display a demo of a page on screen.
As you can see, UI is quite poor. But so is the entire project. User interface will probably be the last thing to be implemented, since it's being studied with caution.
If you want to help, go ahead. This project's license is... hmm, gotta think about that.
If you want to help this project, all you need is:
- GCC / G++
- Qt Creator
- Passion for comics
Simple as that. Just clone the repo, open on your Qt creator (set your target, it doesn't matter which, you'll never commit the
stewcomic.pro.user file anyway) and compile it. Then start hacking. :)
